Everyone knows that the reason that I joined Twitter was because of my social media class, since joining I have hardly ever gone on the twitter and I was very much against it all together. When I think back to the beginning of Facebook I was also very reluctant to join but after all my friends had it I caved and joined. Maybe that is what had to happen with Twitter.
My best friend Sarah Baluyot surprised me with the news that she had joined Twitter. She wanted to follow her favourite UFC fighters who were tweeting and since then she has been following some of our favourite celebrities. So I finally gave in and started to enjoy Twitter. She went through all the people she was following and we were on Twitters for an hour reading their tweets.
So I would like to say that after much hesitation I have turned over to the dark side and started to enjoy twitter and I have Sarah Baluyot to thank.
It has been so long since I have last blogged, and I am sorry. I have decided to now dedicate more time to updating my blog. So be ready for more Ellen clips and anything else i decide to blog about.
I have updated my theme and changed the mood of my blog to embrace the month to come. DECEMBER! I love christmas and so does my friend Ellen but we will get back to that. Here is a song that I feel you should listen to when reading through my blog. This is in my mind the ultimate christmas song. Yes christmas can become overwhleming and to some has become a superficial holiday that has been manipulated by captialism to overconsume. HOWEVER! If you take control of your christmas it can basically be about the snow, the christmas tree, the food, and your family. When I think of Christmas I think of spending time with my family being outside in the snow trying to put together lights because no-one will help me. I believe that if you take control of your Christmas it will be a wonderful one.
How many posts does it take to get on the Ellen Degenerous show? This is the question that I am putting out into the atmosphere. I know it will take more than around 3 which is what I have posted.
Again, I have to praise Ellen for making me laugh all alone on the couch after a long day of work. Also, today at work I over heard the ladies in the copy room talking about their love for Ellen. However in the back of my head I knew that I loved her more. As well, I was at a dinner function on sunday and me and a nice lady names Joanne hit it off by chatting about the Ellen show. I would love to make this post longer but I have to devote my time to watching the Ellen Show.
I just wanted to take this time to give a shout out to my friend Natalie! Who mentioned my blog and my love for Ellen in her own blog!!! Now I will be taking the time to give a shout out to Natalie!
Natalie’s blog is original and extremely entertaining, especially for a fellow recent grad who only up until a few weeks ago was unemployed. I have news for you Natalie… it is not all it’s cracked up to be. I am missing the day of sleeping in past 7 o’clock. Or just waking up for a 40 minute class however, all threw the class knowing I was going back to sleep 40 minutes later. Whoever used to tell me that school was the best years of your life and to which I would roll my eyes I very much agree. However, I do love the money and maybe that’s why I spend pay checks all in one weekend. It’s all just so new to me. Natalie I say to you… bask in the nothingness. Even though to whoever doesn’t know Natalie does have a part time job and very good internship at a prominent Public Relations firm, you might even be getting a phone call from her soon. Natalie keep on writing because I am reading. Also, keep calling me at work it keeps me going.
Recently on the Ellen Show, she decided to help Maria from Miami, Florida. Ellen helping people is an extremely regular event; however there are always those certain people that have an impact on you. For me, it was a recent episode with Maria. I know that it has fully had to do with the fact that Maria seems like the nicest person ever and was so grateful for Ellen’s help. I always like the people that are being helped even more when they scream forever and cry. Not only was Maria crying she was screaming and that is how you know that Ellen knows who to choose the right people to help. After a long day at work coming home to watch this episode of Ellen made me very happy. I have posted two videos relating to just Maria. I dedicate this blog to Maria for being so funny.
In staying true to the backbone of my blog, I wanted to take this time to discuss Ellen DeGeneres.
There is a lot of negativity that can come from the media. Such as blog site’s who merely put others down such as the famous blogger Perez Hilton. When it comes to Love Vs. Hate. Personally, I LOVE Ellen DeGeneres and I try to surround myself with people that also adore her. It doesn’t have so much to do with the celebrities that she brings on her show but more about her as a person and how Generes she is. I have decided to dedicate my next few blogs about all the generous things that Ellen has does. So stray away if you don’t like Ellen because she brings warmth to my heart and makes me laugh every time I watch her show.
Let’s talk about the games that Ellen plays. Gold-digger, is a game were contestants have a chance to win $1000 dollars. Please look to the video I have posted, this video does gold digger justice more that my words could.
As everyone knows or whoever doesn’t the link is posted in this blog. David Letterman announced on his show that he was being blackmailed by a former employee. However, as the story unfolded the scandal came down to the fact that David Letterman in the past has had sexual relations with some of his female employee’s and this personal information was going to become public unless Letterman paid some big buxs. So Letterman took to his show and told the world before anyone else could. This scandal becomes a scandal because Letterman is married and was with his to be wife at the time. Letterman publicly apologized on his national late night show. The amount of press that he has gotten from this scandal is unbelievable. It is extremely interesting that for David Letterman revealing that he wasn’t perfect and had cheated on his partners in the past would only cost him higher ratings. He said he has his work cut out for him with his wife however who knows anyone who admits to cheating and has something positive come out of it.
I would also like to admit that after this whole scandal I like still very much enjoy David Letterman.
Last blog I talked about privacy. These two sites, perezhilton and JustJared that I posted are perfect examples of how there is no such thing as privacy anymore. I recommend that people visit these sites and take some time to understand the growing industry of being in other people’s lives.
I am going to elaborate on my last blog about how with a click of a button the whole world can either see something you intended them to see or something you did not. A huge downfall with the growth of technology and the internet is lack of privacy. How much privacy can you actually have within today’s society? With pictures being uploaded on facebook every second your personal life can become open to the public by choice or not. Personally, I have had scares where I open my facebook page and there are pictures that I never wanted anyone to see for everyone to see. However, once uploaded on facebook even if erased or untagged they are still property of facebook. If someone like me, can stress about pictures leaking onto the internet how do celebrities cope? It has become a norm within the entertainment world for famous people to have their private life, pictures, or tapes to be publicized for all to see. Pictures or tapes of students are becoming more common in high schools. Even with the positive aspects of the internet and the good things it can bring there will always be negatives which I believe triumph the good. Private things such as 911 calls, and photos that should be kept to the people who they belong and should not be published on the internet. With the growing publications of private information becoming public it is just becoming seen as normal which of course it is not. This Blog is hate over Love.
